RCSI Medical University of Bahrain Welcomes New MSc in Nursing Cohort
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) – Medical University of Bahrain has welcomed a new cohort to its MSc in Nursing programme, highlighting its ongoing commitment to postgraduate nursing education and its long-standing partnership with the Royal Medical Services (RMS).
Twenty students joined the MSc in Nursing programme last month, reflecting sustained interest in advanced nursing education between RCSI Medical University of Bahrain and its healthcare partners across the Kingdom of Bahrain. The new intake also underscores the University’s long-standing partnership with Royal Medical Services (RMS) since 2011, highlighting a continued collaborative effort to strengthen nursing clinical practice and expertise, clinical leadership capability and evidence-based patient care.
Launched in 2009, the MSc in Nursing programme is designed to support advanced clinical practice and leadership development, maintain strong academic rigour, and remain closely aligned with the realities of contemporary healthcare environments. Delivered in collaboration with local healthcare providers, the programme ensures learning is informed by current clinical practice and responsive to workforce and system needs.
Professor Husain Nasaif, Associate Professor in Nursing & Director of MSc Nursing Programme, added, “The MSc in Nursing programme combines academia with the realities of clinical practice, ensuring learning is both robust and immediately applicable. With leadership development and knowledge synthesis through research at its core, the programme equips postgraduate students to enhance patient care, strengthen team performance and advance into professional and leadership roles.”
