Tissue Engineering Research Group

RCSI's Tissue Engineering Research Group (TERG) is a multidisciplinary research group focused on the development of advanced biomaterials for the repair and regeneration of a range of tissues and organs.

This work covers areas such bone, cartilage, skin, cardiovascular, ocular, respiratory and neural, among others.

What we do

Our researchers are also involved in medical device development and cutting-edge disease modelling.

As part of the Department of Anatomy and Regenerative Medicine, we are closely linked with the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, Departments of Chemistry, Physiology and Medical Physics and a range of external academic, clinical and industrial collaborating institutions and organisations.

My Green Lab

We are the first university in Ireland to receive My Green Lab Certification across all research and teaching laboratories.

My Green Lab Certification is considered the gold standard for lab sustainability best practices, recognised as a key measure of progress towards a zero-carbon future.
