RCSI’s Healthcare Outcomes Research Centre, School of Population Health will host the eighth annual National Healthcare Outcomes Conference, 'Innovation for Better Healthcare Outcomes: Shaping the Future of Healthcare', on Tuesday, 21 April 2026.
Innovation in Irish healthcare offers solutions to the raising demands to deliver high-quality and equitable healthcare for the benefit of the Irish population. Innovation may offer new treatment options and care models, and transform digital health technologies and data-driven decision-making into new strategies for the development of better healthcare outcomes.
This year’s national healthcare outcome conference brings together healthcare decision-makers, healthcare providers, patient representatives, health services researchers, and other stakeholders to explore how central and local innovation activities can improve the quality, efficiency, and equity of Irish healthcare delivery.
Moderated by Johnathan McCrea, award-winning TV and radio broadcaster, policy leaders, clinical and academic experts will lead discussions on evidence-based approaches, including new applications of health technologies, integrated care models, and data-driven decision-making, and explore their potential to enhance efficiency, access, and quality of care.
By bridging research, policy, and practice, the conference will discuss appropriate frameworks for healthcare innovation, showcase high-level innovation projects and identify actionable strategies to support future innovation within Irish healthcare
We will be announcing speakers in due course.
