Undergraduate Open Day

Undergraduate Open Day 2027

RCSI's next Undergraduate Open Day will take place on Friday, 8 January 2027. Further information on the event will be available here later this year.

RCSI invites prospective applicants to discover what the University offers with an informative visit to our Dublin city centre campus.

The Undergraduate Open Day is for Irish and EU applicants interested in exploring the University, learning about our programmes – Advanced Therapeutic Technologies, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Undergraduate Medicine – and experiencing campus life first hand.

During the Undergraduate Open Day, you will:

  • Explore RCSI’s facilities, including teaching spaces, the simulation centre, gym and sports centre, library spaces, cafés and restaurant.
  • Join programme-specific interactive workshops.
  • Meet current student ambassadors and hear about their experience.
  • Receive information about the application process, the HPAT exam, access routes and scholarships.

For the Dentistry programme, there will be an opportunity to visit our dedicated dental teaching facilities in Sandyford.

The event is primarily intended for 6th year (final year) students preparing to make their CAO choices, as well as graduate and mature entry applicants applying to RCSI in the current year.

Please note: A separate Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) Open Day will take place later in January and further information is available here

  • Registration is required, and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority booking given to 6th year applicants; if places remain available, 5th year students will also be invited to attend.
  • Due to limited capacity, only one parent/guardian can accompany a registered student, and workshops are open to students only.
  • As the content focuses specifically on the Irish and EU Undergraduate admissions pathway through the CAO, international (non-EU) applicants are encouraged to attend our webinars or contact the Student Recruitment Team to arrange an individual visit.

Based on feedback from previous open days and in order to facilitate additional interactive workshops, in 2026 the traditional programme talks were replaced by pre-recorded video presentations. These were shared with attendees in advance of the event and are available to view below.
