The annual Charter Meeting will take place in RCSI from Tuesday, 10 February to Saturday, 14 February 2026.

Online registration is essential.

Registration will open in November 2025.

Call for abstracts – 36th Annual VideoSurgery Meeting

We invite abstract submissions showcasing educational and engaging surgical cases with a strong teaching focus for inclusion in the 2026 VideoSurgery Meeting.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit video presentations, which will also feature in the Video Teaching Library, a valuable resource for medical students and surgical trainees, shared across our online platforms. This is a great opportunity to highlight real-world clinical decision-making, share surgical tips, and contribute to medical education.

We welcome video submissions that:

  • Present an interesting real case
  • Include a clear teaching or learning point
  • Are suitable for either medical students or surgical trainees
  • Are concise, engaging, and educational
  • Open, laparoscopic, robotic, endoscopic or percutaneous are all accepted

Who can submit?

  1. Consultant surgeon presenter
  2. Surgical trainee presenter (SpR – ST4 and above)

Please indicate your category when submitting your abstract.

Awards

  • Trainee winner: Medal and certificate
  • Consultant winner: Faculty Recognition Award (voucher or equivalent)

How to apply

  1. Create an account on the submission portal and complete your contact details.
  2. Upload your abstract following the step-by-step guide.
  3. Ensure your submission follows the abstract format requirements. Deadline: Friday, 21 November 2025.
